The Via dell'Essenza continues on path no. 150, leaving the coastal hamlet of Sant'Andrea and climbing, among abandoned dry stone walls, up to the panoramic and woody foothills of the mountains that rise along the coast. Like the previous section, the route follows old lanes and mule tracks as well as more recent roadways.
The Mediterranean maquis once again accompanies our walk with its green presence. After passing through the Serrone and Sambucaia localities, where some impressive specimens of tree heather can be seen, the route approaches the village of Zanca, then descending, once again among abandoned terraces, to the coast and the Cala della Cotaccia beach.
From here, we climb once more, through a holm oak wood and a rich maquis woodland, then joining the easy path that runs just below the provincial road connecting Zanca with Patresi. In Patresi, we descend along the surfaced road, passing the Punta Polveraia lighthouse and reaching the sea. After leaving the pebbly beach, taking a roadway (path no. 127), we climb once again along an old lane towards the village of Colle d'Orano, reaching the provincial road where this section of the Via dell'Essenza ends.
