The "Arts" department brings under the Foundation's remit the historic project "Artists on Elba", through which Acqua dell'Elba has always supported the Arts and creativity by promoting the work of contemporary artists, organising exhibitions, and purchasing of works of art. In the year of its new beginning, this fourth thread turns into an operational arm for this occasion, becoming itself the vehicle thanks to which the Foundation can set sail: indeed, profits deriving from the sale of every single piece of the collection "Le Spiagge degli Argonauti" ("Shores of the Argonauts") will be devolved to the financial support of the Foundation and its projects, in a virtuous circle populated by people who "are" Acqua dell'Elba and who, we hope, will soon also become "Acqua dell'Elba Foundation" people: the employees, collaborators, partners, and, of course, all of our customers and lovers of the sea and of Isola d'Elba.
Artisti all'Elba ("Artists on Elba") shows the commitment of the Foundation towards the promotion and development of the Arts, through the promotion of the work of contemporary artists, the organisation of exhibitions and the purchase of works of art.
From its first edition, this unique collection has allowed us to come into contact with talented artists, growing year after year to the benefit of the Elban community and all those who wish to share in it.
To date, the project has involved artists such as Alex Rinesch, Walter Puppo, Helga and Kurt Mergenthal, Rudy Pulcinelli, Marcello D'Arco, Marianne Kipp, Luciano Regoli, Andrea Mariconti, Angelo Palazzini, Maria Cristina Sammarco, Nena & Tomy, Mario Apone, Silvano Campeggi, Roberto Ridi, Mario Branca and Riccardo Mazzei, Pablo Massa and Alfredo Gioventù.
Furthermore, since 2016 the project was further enhanced by the Acqua dell'Elba Arts Prize, an initiative developed in collaboration with the Brera Academy of Arts, with the intention of rewarding the creativity and talent of young students looking to secure a place in the professional sector.
